History of Central Muslim Association of Karnataka
Central Muslim Association of Karnataka, popularly known by the acronym, CMA is a non-profit, non-political, non-governmental organization working for the uplift and empowerment of Indian Muslims on all parameters of progress and development.
At CMA, we envision a cosmopolitan society where individuals regardless of the distinctions of religion, caste, ethnicity, language, and so on live in peace, harmony, and understanding, and reap the benefits of justice, equity, progress, development, and prosperity on egalitarian principles. Alongside, we advocate special care in such a society for the promotion and safeguard of educational, cultural, economic, and religious rights of Muslims.
Founded in 1907, CMA has carved a name for its services, for imparting quality education to students through its group of educational institutions; running hostels with all the latest facilities for boys and working men; assisting poor and deserving students with scholarships; engaging in a variety of community services like providing relief to the victims of natural calamities, pandemics; extending medical assistance to poor patients; feeding the poor and hungry; assisting widows with a monthly pension; arranging mass marriages of the children from poor families and so on.
CMA also owns and maintains, under the concepts s of Waqfs, two Eidgahs for the Muslims to offer Eid prayers; two mosques, and a graveyard (Khabrastan) for the burial of the deceased.
CMA has its main office situated in Bangalore and branch offices in every district of Karnataka.

To accomplish the resolved aims and objectives, CMA at present performs the following activities:to make India and the Muslim community proud.
Future Plans
To establish a University under the name “CMA University” and offer under it various professional courses in engineering and technology, pure science, medicine, aviation, astrodynamics, law, management, humanities, and various other subjects of modern science and knowledge.

To uphold Islamic principles and values of honesty, probity, morality, ethics, integrity, and legitimacy in all managerial, administrative and financial dealings and transactions.
